GAINESVILLE, Ga. and TAMPA, Fla. (July 12, 2013)—Facing a pivotal decision as part of its strong growth, Atlanta-based Davidson Hotels & Resorts recently considered whether to upgrade its existing accounting system platform or to migrate to another package to support its 46-hotel portfolio.

Davidson CFO Barry Wabler described a user-focused decision-making process that resulted in partnering with M3 Accounting + Analytics, the national leader in hotel-specific accounting software, operations reporting, and business analytics. With M3’s help, Davidson aims to enhance transaction visibility, improve workflow, and drive efficiencies.

Davidson is currently implementing M3’s accounting solution, AccKnowledge, to include paperless A/P through document imaging, tracking and workflow. As part of a phased rollout process, Davidson’s first round of properties are now online, and those hotels are currently working with new systems that process and report mission-critical data in new ways.

Scott Watson, Vice President of Sales & Marketing with M3, said, “For over 15 years, we’ve worked with hotels across the spectrum; however, Davidson allows us to expand on our customer base within the upscale and near-luxury segment. We are extremely proud and excited to have them on the M3 roster.”

Added Davidson’s Wabler: “Our company was determined to identify hospitality accounting best practices, so we conducted a thorough search and vetting process that brought us to a partnership with M3. We’re excited about our new web-based, real-time accounting solution to benefit hotel owners and Davidson team members.”

“The strength of our accounting system is a critical component to the success of our overall platform,” added John Belden, Davidson’s CEO. “M3 provides us with an industry-specific tool that will enhance performance, both at the property level and within our centralized system.”

The entire implementation and training process is expected to be complete in four months.
