April 25, 2014 - PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland Harbor Hotel and its restaurant, Eve’s at the Garden, recently welcomed Stuart Barwise as General Manager. Barwise takes the reigns from Gerard Kiladjian, who has served as the property’s General Manager for the past 10 years.
Barwise was most recently Director of Hotel Operations and General Manager for US Hotels, where he was responsible for the operations of several hotels in the US Hotels/Grace Hotels portfolio, including the White Barn Inn and Spa, The Mayflower Inn and Spa, The Vanderbilt Grace and others. Barwise brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to the AAA four diamond property.

Barwise is a resident of Kennebunkport, where he serves as Chair of the Board of Selectmen. He is past chairman of the board of directors for the Greater Portland Convention and Visitors Bureau and was a member of the Maine Tourism Commission, appointed by Governor John Baldacci. Barwise earned a BS in Hotel Management from Boston University.
Eve’s at the Garden:
Eve’s at the Garden is located inside the Portland Harbor Hotel and is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant also offers a Bar Bites menu and Happy Hour from 4-7 pm Monday through Friday. During the warmer months meals are served in the Hotel’s welcoming interior courtyard garden. Covered valet parking is offered year-round for the restaurant’s guests.
